Blue and Beyond
June 5 - 30, 2010

All BC Guild members are invited to develop and submit new work inspired by the exhibition theme: 'Blue and Beyond'.
Colour has been predominantly used by potters as a means to enhance form, or for endorsing painterly-like compositions upon ceramics.
This exhibition theme aims to stimulate and provoke a sense of fresh expressiveness and to lay out new avenues of creative practice and experimentation.
This theme is not intended to restrict creativity as artists are not being asked to produce artwork that is solely blue in colour. The show will aim
to showcase high quality ceramic craftsmanship and will highlight one-off, unique pieces expressive of the colour’s many complex moods and contradictory
meanings.
We invite BC Guild members to transcend their own 'blue horizons' and join in an exciting expedition into 'Blue and Beyond'!
Entry requirements:
• $10 jury fee
• A maximum of two submissions per artist
