Welcome to the Potters Guild of British Columbia
Established in 1955, the Guild constitutes a living, organic network working together, learning together and talking together. We inspire one another, encourage and sustain one another. And in all our activities, we strive to elevate the standards of our work.
We transmit knowledge and experience from our founding members – teacher to student, mentor to apprentice, guild to guild and friend to friend. We transcend distance – allowing the solitary potter working in the calm of a remote forest to trade experiences with their urban counterpart.
Through its flagship Gallery of BC Ceramics, the Guild promotes a high standard of excellence in quality and innovation. Through its newsletter and electronic communications , it informs and educates its members in technology, materials and process changes. In all its activities, it supports and encourages growth and diversity in its members.
