I graduated from Israel’s Art academy, Bezalel with a Masters in industrial design, I had been working in numerous creative fields. As both studio and independent designer I accomplished various interior, architectural, graphical and installation design projects.
My life changed drastically after I family came to beautiful British Columbia with my family where I discovered my true passion – the art of clay. I started training at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and continued my education at Place des Arts, learning from both the talented instructors and the students.
I joined the Burnaby Potters Guild two years ago and each member has been a fabulous teacher and inspiration for me since then. I am constantly learning and evolving as ceramic artist and I can see the first fruit of my productive work.
"RESTRAINED CHAOS" would be the best and the most concise definition of my art. I am constantly wandering between the edges of dichotomous concepts like order and chaos, simplicity/complexity, combining such visually distinct styles as baroque and minimalism.
Within my company, Golem Designs, I produce several lines of work that are represented on my website. I am also open to collaborate with other artists/ designers on different creative projects.
I get my inspiration through travelling the world, connecting with different people, reading mind-provoking literature and listening to music. One of my favourite writers said: “To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only obligation.” At this stage in my life I feel that my true destiny is still to be discovered, but I’m sure it is connected with clay.
