Marc lives in the Bella Coola Valley where he teaches and maintains studios for both ceramics and painting. Marc has been a practicing potter and painter for over thirty years. He spent two years at the University of Manitoba and earned a BFA honors degree in painting from the University of Victoria and studied for two years at the Banff School of Fine Arts. In ceramics he is mostly self-taught.
He also has a teaching degree from the University of Victoria and teaches at thehigh school in Bella Coola. Over the years Marc’s artistic and classroom practice has reinforced his belief that everyone has the capacity to be creative. His ceramic work ranges from functional pottery to decorative wall pieces, sculptures, and vessels. He produces ceramics in raku, porcelain and stoneware. Marc’s work is in numerous private and public collections nationally and internationally.
