I first touched clay when I was 17 in the Fine Arts program at University of Manitoba and fell in love with it. Hand building with porcelain is my main focus, I draw inspiration from textures and forms in nature as well as the people in my life.

I see porcelain as a skin and find pleasure in the sensual nature of clay, folding and manipulating slabs into sculptural and functional forms, responding to the play of light across edges.

My pieces are one of a kind, slab construction, each are bisque fired to cone 6 and air brushed with underglaze, then high fired to cone 9 in an electric kiln. When I am not in studio I love spending time outdoors, gardening, painting and drawing.
