Shannon Butler was born and raised on a farm in rural B.C, she went on to the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and then finalized her degree in Ceramics with Distinction from the Alberta College of Art and Design. In her graduating year she had the honour of receiving the Board of Governor’s Award. Since that time she has taken part in dozens of shows all over BC and Alberta, as well as art residencies.
For the past five years she has run her own shop named kilnhouse studio, in Fort St. John, BC. Shannon works full time there creating one of a kind ceramics, and is open to the public each Saturday. For the most up to date photos of her work or to purchase work:
